Panel Vice Chair
We are currently looking for a Panel Vice Chair for our Fostering Panel in our Leeds.
As Panel Vice Chair your responsibilities will include:
- Chairing panel meetings, when required, ensuring that all items of business are covered and that the panel operates in accordance with Regulations and the policies and procedures of the agency.
- Co-ordinating and directing the work of the Fostering Panel and in ensuring the quality of foster carers recruited meets relevant standards.
- To be involved in the recruitment and appointment of new panel members and in any consideration about terminating the appointment of a panel member.
- To safeguard the confidentiality of all panel papers and panel discussions.

The Panel Vice Chair will receive £150 per panel including mileage, In the absence of the Panel Chair the Vice Chair will be expected to deputise and will therefore receive £350 per panel plus mileage (as this is an independent role, you will be liable for your own tax and NI declaration).
The Panel Vice Chair role is an ‘office holder’ and a Standard DBS clearance is required, which will be undertaken by Unity on your behalf. You will be required to have professional membership to a social work body if you are currently a practicing social worker.
