Our Vision Statement

Children and young people are at the centre of everything we do. Unity Foster Care was founded with the aim of providing great quality, individualised foster placements to children in need.

Our aim is to have a positive, lasting effect on children’s lives and to work in partnership with parents, the local authority and other agencies to ensure we achieve the desired outcome for the child or young person.

Unity’s vision includes supporting achievements for all children regardless of any barriers and promoting and celebrating each success both educational and personal.

"Children’s and young people’s life chances have been significantly enhanced due to the good care and support that they receive from committed, caring and well-trained foster carers and fostering agency staff who all advocate strongly on their behalf."

Who we are

Unity Foster Care was established in 2016 and has quickly gained a reputation as being a fostering agency which is focused on children’s needs and the quality of support we provide for our foster carers.

The Unity Team bring a great deal of experience in Fostering and many of the team have worked together for many years, even prior to joining Unity Foster Care. It’s the agency’s commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children through providing child focussed support for its carers which have kept the team together for so long.

Our team is small and friendly, we know all our families and we support one another at a ‘drop of a hat’ to ensure our carers get what they need to achieve the best outcomes for children.

In our last inspection in 2017, Ofsted graded us ‘Good’ in all areas. This is the highest grade an Inspector can award on a first full inspection.

Here’s what Ofsted say about us…

This is an effective fostering agency that has a defined family feel and keeps children and young people at the heart of its work. Consequently, children and young people have happy, stable lives, and build trust and positive attachments with their foster carers, which helps them to resolve some of their past negative experiences.
