JOB DESCRIPTION - Independent Social Worker Form F Assessors

Salary: Competitive Rates

Location: Leeds/Darlington

Unity Foster Care an Independent Fostering Agency are looking for self-employed Form F assessors to join their growing team!

Mileage paid
Enhanced DBS required
Recognised professional social work qualification. (DipSW or equivalent) required
Social Work England registration
Good knowledge of Child Care legislation which includes the Children Act 1989, Fostering and Adoption Act 2002, the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services, and Fostering Services Regulations.

You will ideally have experience in completing Form F Assessments, however as our experienced team will provide support and guidance throughout both the assessment process and Panel presentation, we also welcome applications from all social work qualified professionals with sound assessment skills and a strong safeguarding background.

Support Worker

Job Title: Fostering Support Worker
Salary: £23,400
Location: North East
Working Pattern: Part-Time, 20 hours per week, with the need for evening and weekend flexibility.

Unity Foster Care is excited to offer an opportunity for a Fostering Support Worker. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to become part of our team in the North East, covering Teesside, Durham, North Yorkshire and Newcastle.

The Role:

In the role of Fostering Support Worker, you will support foster families and the children or young people in their care, addressing their unique needs. You will provide a comprehensive support service, providing practical assistance and emotional support to families facing temporary or long-term challenges, ensuring that children remain in their placements and are actively engaged. Your duties will be varied, but you will primarily work directly with children and young people.

No specific qualifications are needed for this role; however, candidates should possess a strong foundational education, outstanding communication skills, and experience in working with children and young people. Knowledge of fostering, child safeguarding procedures, the rights of young people, and the Children's Act 1989 is desirable. This position is especially suitable for student social workers, teachers, youth workers, or those in similar professions.

A full driving licence and willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes
Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and evenings when necessary

Experience in child-centered environments
