Fostering A Child

Why Unity Foster Care – Meet Us!

We are dedicating today’s blog post to discussing all things Unity Foster Care, and what makes us the best of the best. Of course, we’re completely and utterly biased, but nonetheless we are pretty fantastic!

As we are a small size, we are able to keep a  valuable ‘family feel’ and all of our staff, carers and the children we help are part of the Unity family. We will make sure you know that the work you’re doing is important and that you feel valued and part of the team.

So who is our dedicated Unity team exactly, and what do they do?

ISMA ALMAS – Registered Manager

Isma Almas – Registered Manager

I qualified as a social worker in 2001 and the bulk of my experience has been in mental health and the independent fostering sector. I am looking forward to welcoming children, young people, applicants, foster carers and staff to the Unity family. My spare time is mostly spent finding new ways of hiding and disguising vegetables in food so my three year old will eat them!

LISA CHAMBERLAIN - Team Manager

Lisa Chamberlain – Team Manager

Hi. I’m Lisa, the Team Manager at Unity Foster Care. I have over 25 years’ experience working with children and young people, their families and foster carers. I’ve always enjoyed work, and I’m a working mum of two fabulous children (and just a little bit biased!). I’m very down to earth and straight talking, I like honesty, fairness, laughter and good friends. I genuinely look forward to meeting you and your family and welcoming you to the Unity team.

Debbie Holiday – Office Manager

Debbie Holliday – Office Manager

Hi. I’m Debbie, the Office Manager here at Unity Foster Care – please feel free to contact me. I have many years’ experience in family law and independent fostering, and I hope to continue working in this area for many years to come.  I am a wife and very honoured to be a mum. If I have any spare time, I enjoy socialising and taking trips away.
